John Salmon (* 28. June 1910 in Wellington; † 4. May 1999 in Rotorua) was a new Zealand zoologist, botanist and entomologist. He was 88 years old. His education included Wellington College and Victoria University of Wellington. He worked at Victoria University of Wellington. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi, Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
