John Tate (* March 13, 1925 in Minneapolis; † October 16, 2019 in Lexington) was an american mathematician. He was 94 years old. His education included Princeton University, Harvard University and St. Paul Academy and Summit School. He received 6 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Abel Prize.
