Jonathan Demme (* February 22, 1944 in Baldwin; † April 26, 2017 in Manhattan) was an american filmmaker. He was 73 years old. He had 3 children. His education included University of Florida and Southwest Miami High School. His awards include Academy Award for Best Director, Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing – Feature Film and National Board of Review Award for Best Film. His cause of death was esophageal cancer.
