Josef von Bergmann (* 13. November 1796 in Hittisau; † 29. July 1872 in Graz) was a österreichischer Historiker und Philologe. He was 75 years old. He studied at University of Vienna. He was awarded the honorary doctor of the University of Vienna. He was buried at Romantikerfriedhof Maria Enzersdorf.
