Josemaría Escrivá (* 9. January 1902 in Barbastro city; † 26. June 1975 in Rome) was a spanischer Geistlicher, Gründer des Opus Dei und Heiliger der römischen Kirche. He was 73 years old. His education included Piarists of Barbastro, Seminary of San Francisco de Paula, Pontifical University of Zaragoza, Faculty of Law of the University of Zaragoza, Universidad Central and Pontifical Lateran University. His faith was Catholic Church. He received 9 awards, including Grand Cross of the Order of Charles III, Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic. His cause of death was disease. He was buried at prelatic church of Our Lady of Peace.
