Joshua Fishman (* July 18, 1926 in Philadelphia; † March 1, 2015 in The Bronx) was an american linguist. He was 88 years old. His education included Columbia University and University of Pennsylvania. His awards include Linguapax Prize and honorary doctorate of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
