József Hevessy (* 10. October 1931 in Hámor; † 18. July 2005 in Debrecen) was a hungarian professor, local politician. He was 73 years old. His education included Ferenc Földes Secondary School, University of Debrecen and Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He was awarded the honorary citizen of Debrecen. He was buried at public cemetery, Debrecen.
