Biography of June Jordan

June Jordan (* 9. July 1936 in Harlem; † 14. June 2002 in Berkeley) was an afro-amerikanische Schriftstellerin und Aktivistin. She was 65 years old. Her education included Barnard College, Midwood High School and Northfield Mount Hermon School. She worked at University of California, Berkeley, Yale University, Stony Brook University, City College of New York and Sarah Lawrence College. She was awarded the Lambda Literary Award. Her cause of death was breast cancer.
