Biography of Juris Upatnieks

Juris Upatnieks (* 7. May 1936 in Riga; † 17. May 2026) was a latvian-American physicist and inventor (born 1936), one of the inventors of the hologram. He was 90 years old. His education included University of Michigan and University of Akron. He worked at University of Michigan. He received 5 awards, including Grand Medal of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, Holley Medal.
