Jūrō Kara (* 11. February 1940 in Shitaya-ku; † 4. May 2024 in Nakano) was a japanischer Schriftsteller. He was 84 years old. He was married to Reisen Ri. His education included Meiji University, 東邦大学付属東邦高等学校 and Komagome Junior & Senior High School. He worked at Yokohama National University, Meiji University and Kindai University. His awards include Izumi Kyōka Prize for Literature and Akutagawa Prize. His cause of death was acute subdural hematoma.
