Biography
Kaija Saariaho (* October 14, 1952 in Helsinki; † June 2, 2023 in 8th arrondissement of Paris) was a finnish composer. She was 70 years old. She was married to Jean-Baptiste Barrière. She had 2 children. She studied at Sibelius Academy. She received 9 awards, including Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, Léonie Sonning Music Prize. Her cause of death was glioblastoma.
