Karel D. Vohnout (* 9. March 1932 in Quito; † 24. January 2019) was an ecuadorian-born agronomist. He was 86 years old. His education included Central University of Ecuador, Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture and Louisiana State University. He worked at Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship.
