Kate McGarrigle (* February 6, 1946 in Montreal; † January 18, 2010 in Montreal) was a canadian singer and songwriter. She was 63 years old. She was married to Loudon Wainwright III. Her education included McGill University and École des beaux-arts de Montréal. She was awarded the Member of the Order of Canada. Her cause of death was cancer.
