Kevin Tate (* 8. April 1943 in Lower Hutt; † 22. January 2018 in Palmerston North) was a new Zealand organic chemist. He was 74 years old. His education included Victoria University of Wellington and Hutt Valley High School. He worked at Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi, Marsden Medal and Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry.
