Kim Dae-jung (* 6. January 1924 in Hauido; † 18. August 2009 in Severance Hospital) was a 8th President of the Republic of Korea. He was 85 years old. He was married to Lee Hee-ho and Cha Yong-ae. He had at least 2 children (2 sons). His education included Ha-ui Elementary School and Mokpo Bukkyo Elementary School. His faith was Catholicism. He received 10 awards, including Nobel Peace Prize, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Seoul National Cemetery.
