Biography of Lewis Mumford

Lewis Mumford (* 19. October 1895 in Flushing; † 26. January 1990 in Amenia) was an amerikanischer Architekturkritiker und Techniksoziologe. He was 94 years old. His education included City College of New York, The New School, Stuyvesant High School, New York University and Columbia University. He worked at The Dial and The New Yorker. His faith was atheism. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
