Biography of Lionel Hampton

Lionel Hampton (* 20. April 1908 in Louisville; † 31. August 2002 in New York City) was an american jazz musician. He was 94 years old. His education included University of Southern California and USC Thornton School of Music. His faith was Christian Science. He received 5 awards, including National Medal of Arts, Paul Acket Award. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
