Lojze Kovačič (* 9. November 1928 in Basel; † 1. May 2004 in Ljubljana) was a slowenischer Schriftsteller und Pädagoge. He was 75 years old. He was married to Marija Vida Kovačič. He studied at University of Ljubljana. He received 4 awards, including Prešeren Award, Župančič Award. He was buried at Žale Central Cemetery.
