Lygia Sigaud (* 28. February 1945 in Rio de Janeiro; † 9. April 2009) was a brazilian sociologist. She was 64 years old. Her education included Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and University of São Paulo. She worked at Museu Nacional. She was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship.
