Biography
Maarten Schmidt (* December 28, 1929 in Groningen; † September 17, 2022 in Fresno) was a dutch astronomer. He was 92 years old. His education included Leiden Observatory and Leiden University. He received 9 awards, including Kavli Prize in Astrophysics, Petrie Prize Lecture.
