Biography
Magdalena Abakanowicz (* June 20, 1930 in Falenty; † April 20, 2017 in Warsaw) was a polish textile artist and sculptor. She was 86 years old. She studied at Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw. She received 9 awards, including Officer of Arts and Letters, Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order. She was buried at Powązki Military Cemetery.
