Biography
Marc Augé (* September 2, 1935 in Poitiers; † July 24, 2023 in Poitiers) was a french anthropologist and geographer. He was 87 years old. He was married to Françoise Héritier. His education included École Normale Supérieure, Lycée Louis-le-Grand, Lycée Montaigne, École pratique des hautes études and Paris Descartes University. He received 4 awards, including Prix Dodo, Officer of Arts and Letters.
