Biography of Marc Barbut

Marc Barbut (* 23. February 1928 in 12th arrondissement of Paris; † 12. December 2011 in 4th arrondissement of Paris) was a french mathematician and epistemologist. He was 83 years old. His education included Science Faculty of Paris and Sorbonne. He worked at École pratique des hautes études, School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, Paris Institute of Statistics, Sorbonne and Paris Descartes University. His awards include Knight of the Legion of Honour, Officer of the National Order of Merit and Commander of the French Order of Academic Palms.
