Biography of Margaret Lea Houston

Margaret Lea Houston (* 11. April 1819 in Marion; † 3. December 1867 in Mrs. Sam Houston House) was a first Lady of the Republic/State of Texas. She was 48 years old. She was married to Sam Houston. She had at least 5 children (3 sons and 2 daughters). Her cause of death was yellow fever. She was buried at Independence.
