Biography of Marie Tharp

Marie Tharp (* 30. July 1920 in Ypsilanti; † 23. August 2006 in Nyack) was an american oceanographer and cartographer. She was 86 years old. Her education included University of Michigan, University of Tulsa and Ohio University. She received 4 awards, including Hubbard Medal, Society of Woman Geographers Outstanding Achievement Award. Her cause of death was infarction.
