Maurice Jarre (* September 13, 1924 in 5th arrondissement of Lyon; † March 28, 2009 in Los Angeles) was a french composer and conductor. He was 84 years old. He had 3 wives. His education included University of Paris and Conservatoire de Paris. He received 5 awards, including Academy Award for Best Original Score, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
