New Zealand writer (1932–2004)
Maurice Shadbolt (* 4. June 1932 in Mount Albert; † 10. October 2004 in Taumarunui) was a new Zealand writer. He was 72 years old. He was married to Gillian Eve Muriel Shadbolt-Heming and Barbara Magner. He studied at Avondale University. His awards include Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Robert Burns Fellowship and honorary doctor of the University of Auckland. His cause of death was Alzheimer's disease.
