Maya Angelou (* April 4, 1928 in St. Louis; † May 28, 2014 in Winston-Salem) was an american poet, author, and civil rights activist. She was 86 years old. She was married to Paul du Feu. Her education included George Washington High School and California Labor School. She received 7 awards, including National Women's Hall of Fame, Langston Hughes Medal. Her cause of death was disease.
