Biography of Melvin Stern

Melvin Stern (* 22. January 1929 in Manhattan; † 2. February 2010 in Philadelphia) was an american oceanographer. He was 81 years old. He worked at Florida State University and University of Rhode Island. His awards include Henry Stommel Research Medal, Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and Guggenheim Fellowship.
