Michel Butor (* September 14, 1926 in Mons-en-Barœul; † August 24, 2016 in Contamine-sur-Arve) was a french writer. He was 89 years old. He was married to Marie-Jo Butor. He studied at Lycée Louis-le-Grand. He received 5 awards, including Prix Renaudot, Grand prix de littérature de l'Académie française.
