His education included Lycée Janson-de-Sailly, Lycée Masséna and Paris Law Faculty. His faith was Catholic Church. He received 7 awards, including Commander of the Legion of Honour, Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française. His cause of death was pulmonary embolism. He was buried at Montparnasse Cemetery.
