Biography of Mîna Urgan

Mîna Urgan (* 1. May 1915 in Istanbul; † 15. June 2000 in Istanbul) was a türkische Literaturwissenschaftlerin, Schriftstellerin, Philologin, Übersetzerin und Feministin. She was 85 years old. She was married to Cahit Irgat. She had at least 1 child (1 son). Her education included Lycée Notre Dame de Sion Istanbul, Robert College and Istanbul University Faculty of Letters. She worked at Istanbul University. Her faith was atheism. She was awarded the Sedat Simavi Literature Award. She was buried at Aşiyan Asri Cemetery.
