Biography of Muhammad Shahidullah

Muhammad Shahidullah (* 10. July 1885 in Piyara; † 13. July 1969 in Dhaka) was a bangladeshi linguist. He was 84 years old. He had at least 2 children (2 sons). His education included University of Paris, University of Calcutta, Presidency University, City College, Howrah Zilla School and Jashore Zilla School. He worked at University of Dhaka, Jashore Zilla School, Government Azizul Haque College, University of Rajshahi, Bangla Academy (Bangladesh), Urdu Dictionary Board and Islamic Foundation Bangladesh. His faith was Islam. His awards include Pride of Performance, Independence Award in Education and Honorary Fellow of Bangla Academy. He was buried at Shahidullah Hall.
