Biography of Mykola Samokysch

Mykola Samokysch (* 25. October 1860 in Nizhyn; † 18. January 1944 in Simferopol) was a russischer, ukrainischer und sowjetischer Grafiker und Maler. He was 83 years old. He was married to Jelena Petrowna Samokisch-Sudkowskaja. He studied at Imperial Academy of Arts. He worked at Higher Art School at the Imperial Academy of Arts, Kharkiv Institute of Arts and National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture. He received 4 awards, including Stalin Prize, Order of the Red Banner of Labour. He was buried at 1st civil cemetery of Simferopol.
