Biography of Norman Lascelles Elder

Norman Lascelles Elder (* 6. April 1896 in Wellington; † 10. August 1974) was a new Zealand botanist, electrical engineer and teacher. He was 78 years old. His education included Napier Boys' High School, Whanganui Collegiate School and University of Cambridge. He worked at New Zealand Railways Department, Hereworth School and New Zealand Forest Service. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Loder Cup and Honorary Life Membership of the New Zealand Ecological Society.
