Omar Lara (* 9. June 1941 in Nueva Imperial; † 2. July 2021 in Concepción) was a chilenischer Dichter, Übersetzer und Herausgeber. He was 80 years old. His education included Austral University of Chile and University of Bucharest. He worked at Austral University of Chile. His awards include Atenea awarding, Casa de las Américas Prize and Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was heart disease.
