Biography
Paul Halmos (* March 3, 1916 in Budapest; † October 2, 2006 in Los Gatos) was an american mathematician. He was 90 years old. He was married to Virginia Halmos. His education included University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign and Lincoln Park High School. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Paul R. Halmos - Lester R. Ford Awards. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
