Peter Shaffer (* May 15, 1926 in Liverpool; † June 6, 2016 in County Cork) was an english playwright and screenwriter. He was 90 years old. His education included University of Cambridge, Trinity College, St Paul's School and Hall School. His awards include Academy Award for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay, Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and honorary doctor of the University of Bath. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
