Biography of Pierre Courcelle

Pierre Courcelle (* 16. March 1912 in Orléans; † 25. July 1980 in 13th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer Philosophiehistoriker. He was 68 years old. His education included École des chartes, École Normale Supérieure and Lycée Louis-le-Grand. He worked at Collège de France, University of Paris, École pratique des hautes études and French School of Rome. He received 4 awards, including Officer of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the French Order of Academic Palms.
