Ralph Hartley (* 30. November 1888 in Sprucemont; † 1. May 1970 in Summit) was an uS-amerikanischer Elektroingenieur und Mitbegründer der Informationstheorie. He was 81 years old. His education included University of Utah and St John's College. He worked at University of Nevada, Reno, Western Electric and Bell Labs. His awards include IEEE Medal of Honor, Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and Rhodes Scholarship.
