Biography of René Gateaux

René Gateaux (* 5. May 1889 in Vitry-le-François; † 3. October 1914 in Rouvroy) was a französischer Mathematiker. He was 25 years old. His education included École Normale Supérieure and Sapienza University of Rome. He worked at 94th Territorial Infantry Regiment, lycée Raymond Poincaré de Bar-le-Duc and 269e régiment d'infanterie. He was awarded the Prix Francoeur. He was buried at La Targette French National Cemetery.
