Roger Cooper (* 12. March 1939; † 2. March 2020 in Lower Hutt) was a new Zealand paleontologist. He was 80 years old. He studied at Victoria University of Wellington. He worked at GNS Science. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi and Hutton Medal.
