Roy Wood Sr. (* 15. September 1915 in Atlanta; † 15. October 1995 in Jefferson) was an african-American radio pioneer, civil rights journalist, commentator, entrepreneur. He was 80 years old. His education included Wendell Phillips Academy High School, Morehouse College, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Columbia College Chicago. He worked at WENN (AM), National Black Network, KATZ and WVON. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
