Ruth Klüger (* October 30, 1931 in Vienna; † October 5, 2020 in Irvine) was an austrian-born American writer, literature scholar and Holocaust survivor. She was 88 years old. She studied at University of California, Berkeley. She received 10 awards, including Austrian National Award for Literary Criticism, Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. She was buried at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery.
