Sam J. Van Hyning, Jr. (* 17. May 1914; † 3. June 1983 in Puerto Rico) was an american economist and conservationist. He was 69 years old. His education included Pembroke College, Reed College and University of Chicago. He worked at Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico and U.S. Economic Development Administration. He was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship.
