Biography of Samir Amin

Samir Amin (* 3. September 1931 in Cairo; † 12. August 2018 in Paris) was an egyptian-French economist and political theorist. He was 86 years old. His education included Lycée Français du Caire, Sciences Po and National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies. He was awarded the Ibn Rushd Prize for Freedom of Thought. He was buried at Père Lachaise Cemetery.
