Samuel P. Huntington (* April 18, 1927 in New York City; † December 24, 2008 in Martha's Vineyard) was an american political scientist. He was 81 years old. He was married to Nancy Arkelyan Huntington. His education included Harvard University, Yale University, University of Chicago and Stuyvesant High School. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, Grawemeyer Awards and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His cause of death was diabetes. He was buried at Tisbury Village Cemetery.
