Scott Carpenter (* May 1, 1925 in Boulder; † October 10, 2013 in Denver) was an american test pilot, astronaut and aquanaut. He was 88 years old. His education included University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado, United States Naval Test Pilot School, United States Naval Academy and Boulder High School. His awards include National Aviation Hall of Fame, United States Astronaut Hall of Fame and International Space Hall of Fame. His cause of death was stroke.
