Biography of Sergei Cortez

Sergei Cortez (* 18. February 1935 in San Antonio; † 26. June 2016 in Minsk) was a soviet and Belarusian composer. He was 81 years old. He studied at Belarusian State Academy of Music. He worked at Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, Belarusfilm and Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre. His awards include People's Artist of Belarus, Byelorussian SSR State Prize and Honored Artist of the Byelorussian SSR.
