Biography of Shun'ichi Akimoto

Shun'ichi Akimoto (* 20. December 1925 in Tokyo; † 14. July 2004) was a japanese geophysicist. He was 78 years old. He worked at University of Tokyo, Okayama University and Institute for Solid State Physics of the University of Tokyo. His awards include Person of Cultural Merit, William Bowie Medal and honorary doctorate from the Paris Institute of Earth Physics.
